Had such a wonderful experience at Maika’i Hawaiian BBQ! I got the chicken teriyaki mini meal and my husband got the katsu and BBQ meal! If you’re craving Hawaiian cuisine , come here! You will not regret it!!

We happen to walk in on their opening day, we had been looking for musibi and they had a few different kinds. We order spam musubi and bbq chicken musubi. The bbq and teriyaki chicken had great flavor and size and fair pricing. The owner was there and was very attentive. Thank you for the great experience and great food . They also have a drive thru. I took some pictures, I know they aren’t the nicest , I was too focused on eating first . The location is new and very clean even with some final touches still being worked out.

Clean restrooms, easy parking, very friendly staff. Food was fulfilling and reasonably priced. We sampled their new dessert and it was delicious!

Ambiance: Hawaiian inspired eatery with quick counter service and lots of tables - perfect for dining onsite or ordering to go! The macaroni salad tasted just like the one I had in Hawaii. Loved the chicken katsu! Affordable pricing, quick & friendly service. They give you a little flower pin for your hair and the music is peaceful for the ambiance. Parking onsite & clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Hawaiian BBQ!

I’ve been to those restaurant many times. This is a new location. The mini plates are a great serving (that’s the pics I put up) for an average appetite. We’ve ordered the catering drink here too for over 50 people and it was delicious too.

We had been driving past for a while; kept saying we need to try that sometime. Tonight was that sometime, and now we regret waiting so long. The food was good and the service was helpful. It's hard to find prices under 15 for this high quality, lately. In addition, our son was having some anxiety about a thunderstorm. Without being asked, the staff noticed and closed the blinds to help him cope. Much appreciated. We plan to make this a part of our regular rotation.

Glad that there is a Haiwaii restaurant in near Cypress area. The food was fine, but the service at the counter is awesome. Will sure be back when I am in the area.

We loved the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad plus the loco moco. We ordered a couple more plates to take home except I ordered the beef short ribs with rice since I was indecisive on what to eat at the restaurant. Definitely will be back again Really good food!
